Kinjite
(Forbidden hands) Products was born out of a desire
to see more people live in the Purity they recieved in Christ.
But first what is Kinjite?
I
am sure very few Christians have ever heard the word so
let me explain.
Kinjite (lit. forbidden hand) are various fouls that a sumo
wrestler might commit that will cause him to lose the bout.
They are:
- Striking the opponent with a closed fist.
- Grabbing the opponent’s hair.
- Jabbing at the opponent’s eyes or solar plexus.
- Simultaneously striking both of the opponent’s ears
with the palms.
- Grabbing or pulling the opponent’s groin.
- Grabbing the opponent’s throat.
- Kicking at the opponent’s chest or waist.
- Bending back one or more of the opponent’s fingers.
Any of these is grounds for immediate disqualification
owing to the potential for long-lasting harm to the wrestler
involved. They are exceedingly rare and unlikely to be
seen in the higher divisions of sumo, especially by the
sekitori wrestlers.
Perhaps the most common foul committed is the grabbing
of the opponent’s hair. Since it is tied up in a form
of chonmage one's hand can become inadvertantly tangled
in it during a bout.
Whilst grabbing the throat is not allowed, pushing your
opponent backwards with an open hand against the throat
(called a nodowa) is permitted.
In addition, there are moves that are permitted to professional
rikishi and forbidden to more junior (school level) wrestlers.
On such move is haraite — slapping the opponent's face
with an open hand.

So
with this in mind all Kinjite Products
are products designed to remind people that some areas
are off limits. "Forbidden to the hands"
so to speak. We started designing a line of clothing
to appeal to the youth culture that was having a hard
time restraining themselves when the "rubber met the
road" We first came up with a line of intimate wear
including Camisoles, Boxers
and Thongs.
These became popular so we added T-shirts, posters,
Mugs
and now we have over 80 different products available
in a variety of designs from the silly "Gnome
Defenders" to the most serene "Purity
Rose". All designed to promote purity both
for the single person or the Married couple (whose purity
lies in thier faithfulness to one another).
Eventually
it became obvious we should expand and thus the Gethsemene
Rose Mall was built. This mall houses not just
our clothing store but also a variety of other places
that should appeal to the person of Faith. We hope you
find this place to be a great shopping experience and
return as often as you can. GOD BLESS YOU!
I would like to thank Han
Translation for helping with Kanji and finding the
Kinjite Definition.
