The nationally-acclaimed Christian rock
band, DecembeRadio, will return to Southeastern Connecticut
on Saturday, August 19th, as the featured band for the
3rd annual GRACEfest Christian music celebration in Ledyard.
GRACEfest is sponsored by the Council for Christian Arts
of New London County. This event, also known as “The
Church Without Walls”, will be held from 11:30am
to 9 pm, Saturday, August 19th, at Colonel Ledyard Park.
GRACEfest is a coming together of local churches and fellowships
in the area. Crafters, artists and musicians are combining
their resources and talents to put on this amazing celebration
for you. There will be music for all, from quiet reflective
soloists to hard rock bands. So join in on the fun!
Ticket price includes admission for all events. Craft
concession wares will be available along with foods and
drinks available for purchase. There will also be activities

DecembeRadio recently performed after a nationally-televised
Connecticut Sun/Detroit Shock game at Connecticut Sun
arena. DecembeRadio’s self-titled debut hit shelves
at department stores, music stores, Cornerstone and other
Christian bookstores on June 27 and was recently featured
on iTunes, garnering several thousand free downloads.
Their new album has been in the top 10 of most downloaded
Christian CDs since its release on iTunes, and the single
“Drifter” has recently been in the top 50
most downloaded Christian songs on the Web site. DecembeRadio's
hot new release keeps the pedal to the floor with crunching
guitars and a beefy rhythm section, resulting in ten tracks
of hard rock tinged with a taste of southern blues. Includes
"Can't Hide," "Love Found Me," "Table,"
and more.
Coming later this summer, WCSE “Spark the Dark”
Christian Radio will feature a live feed at the new location
of Cornerstone Bookstore on Saturday, September 16th,
as part of our Grand Reopening. Cornerstone will be moving
a mile-and-a-half away, down Rt.12/Long Hill Rd. to Groton
Shopping Plaza across from CVS Pharmacy. Stay tuned for

On the horizon, a local multi-church choir and band will
assemble and perform a live-rendition of the classic worship
CD “Revival in Belfast” on October 7, 2006,
at a location in Groton to be announced. This ticketed
event will a great opportunity to invite friends and family

Decemberadio has been named by Billboard Magazine as
one of the top ten up-and-coming bands of 2006. DecembeRadio
brings its own style of rock 'n roll to the Christian
music scene. The group's classic rock vibe is accented
by Southern rock influences. Their style is further defined
by gripping guitar rifts, slamming rhythms, organic interpretations
and high-energy performances. DecembeRadio's "vintage,"
straight-ahead rock tunes with a modern edge create a
musical style that is being described as having "hints
of Lenny Kravitz and Led Zeppelin combined with elements
of The Black Crowes, Jet and Lynyrd Skynyrd."
"We want to make great rock and roll music that reaches
this generation for Christ," explains bass guitarist
and vocalist, Josh Reedy. "We want to use the passion
for music God has given us to reach people...it's what
we love, and we have a blast doing it!"
DecembeRadio's national debut, produced by veteran artist/producer
Scotty Wilbanks (Third Day, Overflow, NewSong), is scheduled
to release late summer/early fall of 2006.
Early buzz about the group spread after the 2005 Rock
Summit, held in Columbus, Ohio, where the group was voted
"breakout band of the year" by over 25 stations
who attended the event. DecembeRadio has already begun
to hit Christian hit radio markets as well, which they
will continue doing through the spring and summer of '06.
"The first time that I heard DecembeRadio, I knew
there was something special there," describes Derek
Bruner, national radio promoter for Slanted Records. "As
I got to know them, I knew this was a band that the world
needs to hear. They are one of the tightest bands I've
heard, giving 110% every time they take the stage.
"The final piece of the puzzle is who they are as
people," continues Bruner. "Whether it is a
one-on-one conversation or a concert in front of thousands,
DecembeRadio is transparent in their passion for what
they do, why they do it and Who they do it for."
DecembeRadio's debut release will be distributed by Word

soulcleansed began in early 2002, when husband
and wife team, Robbie and Bekah Ferguson began feeling
a call to youth ministry on their lives. The initial
project, Keepin' It Real saw radio success with songs
like We Break His Heart Again, Goinatelia, and of
course, Keepin' It Real. Now, soulcleansed is stronger
than ever with a few more years studio experience,
and a new-found
sound with Lauren B joining the band in 2004. The
term soulcleansed itself represents purity. Soulcleansed
strives to promote purity in all areas of Christian
life; sexual, spiritual, physical, mental, the list
could go on. soulcleansed is not afraid to be real
with their fans (hence the title of their first CD).
Robbie shares his testimony; being released from immorality
and occultism by finding a personal relationship with
Jesus Christ. Through their ministry, soulcleansed
has seen lives changed and listeners prompted to live
a life that is pleasing to God. The ministry of soulcleansed
was initially funded solely by Robbie and Bekah's
personal income, and later donations arrived to help
fund our first project. Although the couple still
pours their heart and money into the ministry, your
financial contribution can be used to further increase
the effects of soulcleansed on the younger generations
of our world. soulcleansed is currently working on
creating their newest CD in studio. The new disc is
centred largely around true love, holiness, and serving
God. soulcleansed is also going to be dealing with
more "real-life" issues on this next disc, such as
self-esteem, and sharing Christ with people we meet.
The effects of this ministry will be largely related
to how much financial support we have to back it up.
With a small budget, we can reach a few; but our goal
as a ministry is to reach out to both the United States
and Canada with our next CD. There are also plans
to begin distribution in countries such as Australia
and even Iceland, where response to our first CD has
been overwhelming.
