Tips For Burning
CDs
This
is for people who use Roxio (or Adaptec for older burners)
as your software for creating and burning CD.
Use
the Easy CD Creator program for burning CDs!
Dont
use the DirectCD (makes CDs behave like floppy disks)
or the Drag and Drop. These dynamic burning programs tend
to be unstable and there is nothing worse than having
to tell someone who has backed up years of data that its
irretrievable because of how the CD was burned.
Adding Files
To CDs with Easy CD Creator
One
of the most common fears people have about Easy CD Creator
is they think they cant add files after they burn the
CD. Actually, just as long as you dont finalize the CD
(an option not selected by default, so dont worry
about it) you can continue to add files.
Here's
how you re-open the CD to add files:
- Launch
Easy CD Creator
- Insert
the previously burned CD, give the computer time to
recognize the CD
- On
the menu bar, click Disk
- If
you have an older version of Easy CD Creator, youll
see Import Session
- A
list of previous sessions will appear, pick the last
one
- Go
to step 6
- If
you have a newer version, you wont see Import Session,
no problem just go to step 6 and the session will automatically
import
- Add
the files to the CD and click Burn
