T-shirt Christians
Luke 9:26: If anyone
is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will
be ashamed of him when he comes in his glory and in
the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.-NIV
I like designing and wearing Christian
T-shirts. I have to admit though that there are times
that I prefer not to wear them. Sometimes it is not
appropriate (like job interviews), but other times
it is because I was simply ashamed. Now don’t
get me wrong, it was not Jesus of whom I was ashamed,
it was me. That’s right I was worried of my
imperfections shining through while proudly wearing
my "Purity-wear." I was afraid that how
I acted either now or in the past might reflect poorly
on Jesus, that was, to me, unacceptable. Thankfully,
my Lord has reminded me that His grace is sufficient.
I am not ever going to be the perfect
witness, so it is not about me. I will have good days
and bad, but I must continue to seek to be Christ-like
so that His light will shine through me, with or without
the T-shirts.
