Hard of Hearing?
Mathew 13:14; This is why I speak to them in parables:
"Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing,
they do not hear or understand. -NIV
When a medical transcriptionist is trying to listen
to a voice recording, they routinely have problems
hearing and understanding.
The well trained and experienced MT does not use
this as an excuse. Instead they work harder at it.
Here are some examples:
They are trying to listen without setting up a good
place or time to do it, for example kids are running
around playing, instead of looking for a quiet place
to listen
Or maybe they are hearing something unfamiliar to
them. In these cases a well trained MT knows to go
and look for more help. They might look it up in a
medical dictionary, or maybe ask a more experienced
person what they think is being said.
Maybe they heard something that seems out of context
or incorrect. In these cases after doing the above
research if they still do not understand, the MT knows
they can ask for further guidance by writing a note
back to the doctor and awaiting further clarification.
When you are trying to hear Gods word are you; Finding
a quiet place to listen? Spending time in HIS book
and talking with more experienced Christians often,
When you are still unsure do you pray and ask for
more clarification? God is looking for people today
that will not only be hearers of the Word, but also
understanders, who will then live his word daily.
Will you hear and understand?
