Where is your Trust
Psalm 20:7: Some
trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust
in the name of the LORD our God.-NIV
Imagine being confronted by someone trying to take
your life. What do you do? Are you ready for such
an encounter? Now imagine being confronted by a hundred
people desiring to take your life. Now what do you
do? Perhaps in the first instance, you might try to
defend yourself… as for the second one…
well you may simply fall on your face and ask God
to save you. Why is there a difference? At what point
do you decide that situation is too big for you? At
what point do you decide you need God?
We need to realize that in all situations, God is
ready, able, and pleased to be your Rock and your
Fortress. From the life threatening, to the smallest
of things, He is present. You do not have to, nor
should you, wait until you reach the limit of your
own self-reliance. The questions may vary, but the
answer is always the same, seek Him first and find
His way. Place your trust in him.
